Not to be outdone by the city’s famous craft beer scene, craft cocktails (along with their makers) are a vibrant culture of their own. Experience exciting new flavors at distilleries and cocktail bars throughout Portland or attend one of the city’s many annual cocktail events.

From underground speakeasies to wood cabin-inspired bars, these watering holes are local faves.

  • Expatriate

    This lounge offers timely cocktails that never neglect what makes a drink a classic. They also serve beer, wine, sake and a menu of drinking snacks from celebrated Portland chef Naomi Pomeroy.

  • Tropicale

    Bar specializing in piña coladas and serving Caribbean and Latin American small plates for dinner and weekend brunch.

  • Hey Love

    Located on the ground level of the Jupiter NEXT hotel on East Burnside Street, Hey Love offers tropically inspired comfort food and an extensive list of bright, fresh cocktails.

  • Teardrop Cocktail Lounge

    The mixologists at Teardrop Cocktail Lounge are dedicated to reviving and celebrating the classic era of mixed drinks. They serve truly handcrafted cocktails, creating tonic water, specialty liqueurs, bitters and tinctures in house.

  • Rum Club

    This bar shines a spotlight on rum, but also offers other cocktails, including a weekly classic cocktail special. They also have happy hour and a tempting food menu.

  • Hale Pele

    Hale Pele is a tropical tiki bar that celebrates fruity cocktails from times past. The menu features over 50 tropical drinks made with fresh-squeezed juices, premium spirits and locally made syrups, as well as small plates inspired by island culture.

  • Driftwood Room

    The Driftwood Room is an intimate lounge in the Hotel deLuxe that offers a bevy of house-made cocktails. The iconic space is unchanged since the 1950s.

  • Bible Club

    Part Southern pre-Prohibition museum, part bar, almost everything in the Bible Club was made in the U.S.A. at least 80 years ago (even the yellow house in which it sits dates back to 1922).

  • Wilder

    Wilder serves elevated-but-affordable pub fare like burgers, sandwiches and fried chicken. They also offer craft cocktails, wine, and local craft beers and ciders.

  • Bar West
