The mission of Travel Portland is to strengthen the region’s economy by marketing the metropolitan Portland region as a preferred destination for meetings, conventions and leisure travel.

A private non-profit destination marketing organization with more than 750 partner businesses, Travel Portland operates a busy visitor information center, supports a climate of year-round hospitality, and helps our city, state and region reap the rewards of a thriving visitor industry.

Tourism Improvement District

In 2012, Portland’s hotel community came together to create a new funding stream to enhance promotion of the Portland Region as a preferred destination for meetings, conventions and leisure travel.

Funding Opportunities

In partnership with the Regional Arts and Culture Council, Travel Portland provides co-op marketing funds for Portland-area cultural organizations to enhance their existing out-of-region marketing and promotional efforts. Applications are now open; completed submissions are due by Friday, Aug. 3, 2018. Funded projects will be notified in late August.
