Travel Portland offers sponsorships for local event organizers and cultural organizations as well as grants for tourism infrastructure.

As the destination marketing organization for the city, Travel Portland invests directly in our local tourism community through our grant and sponsorship programs. See below for information about current and upcoming opportunities.

Large Event Sponsorships

We provide sponsorship support for events that align with our strategic objectives to drive leisure demand, enhance our destination reputation and advance equity, diversity and inclusion in our destination.

Cultural Enrichment Sponsorships

We provide sponsorship support for annual cultural celebrations, cultural festivals, cultural awareness events, and/or fundraisers for organizations that primarily serve multicultural, women, LGBTQIA2S+, unhoused and/or communities with accessibility needs.

Time-Sensitive Opportunities

Small Business Management Scholarships

The Travel Portland Education and Training Foundation, in partnership with Portland Community College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), is offering scholarships for up to five businesses to participate in a 10-month training program designed to help small businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry increase revenue, improve operations and marketing strategies, overcome challenges, and gain new perspectives to support sustainable growth.

Scale Up Grant

Travel Portland and the Prosper Portland Office of Events & Film are proud to announce the Scale Up Grant Program, a competitive grant opportunity designed to provide funding and technical assistance for local Portland events positioned to grow and attract attendance beyond the Portland metro region.

Visitor Experience Enhancement Grants

Funded through lodging taxes and fees collected from hotels and short-term rentals within Portland, these matching grants will support new product development or the rejuvenation of existing product that will enhance the visitor experience in Portland.
