Travel Portland’s International Tourism team promotes travel to Portland and the surrounding region from countries around the world at all levels of the buying chain, targeting vacation-buying consumers, in-country and online travel agents, international tour operators, receptive tour operators and Portland-based travel suppliers. This work is performed and/or leveraged in partnership with Travel Oregon, Brand USA and the Greater Portland regional partners, depending on the project.
Each year, this team:
- Publishes at least 350 itineraries that include the Portland region.
- Generates at least $19 million in region-wide estimated economic impact.
Strengthening international tourism is a team effort — and Travel Portland partners are part of the team. The international tourism team provides training and support for local businesses in understanding and reaching international tourist markets.
