Get ready to sit on the lawn and enjoy film screenings covering various Nordic and environmental topics and stories.

A no-host bar will serve select Oregon wines and beers and non-alcoholic beverages. You are encouraged to bring snacks and food to enjoy during the film. In the event of rain, the screenings will be moved indoors.

6/21 — Woman at War: Halla is a 50-year-old environmental activist who crusades against the local aluminum industry in Iceland. As her actions grow bolder, her life changes in the blink of an eye when she is finally granted permission to adopt a girl from Ukraine.
The Speaker: Gabe Sheoships (Cayuse/Walla Walla) is the Executive Director at Friends of Tryon Creek, where he leads efforts focused on building community, environmental stewardship, and protecting natural ecosystems through an Indigenous relational perspective. He has worked for the past 20 years on behalf of protecting and restoring Indigenous First Foods resources through various fields.

7/19 — I Am Greta: Greta Thunberg, 15, starts school striking for the climate. She skips school and sits outside the parliament to show the politicians that if they don't care about her future, why should she? It's a film about acting to stop climate change before it's too late.

8/16 — Twice Colonized (2023): Renowned Inuit lawyer Aaju Peter has led a lifelong fight for the rights of her people. But while launching an effort to establish an Indigenous forum at the European Union, Aaju finds herself facing a difficult, personal journey to mend her wounds after the unexpected passing of her son. (Movie at 8:30 p.m.)

10/25 — The Lorax (2012): Living in a town devoid of nature,12-year-old Ted searches for the one thing that his crush, Audrey, wants: a Truffula tree. To do this, Ted must venture outside town where he learns the tale of the Lorax and his fight to protect the Truffula trees.
