Earth Day Celebration

Making Earth Cool, Extinction Rebellion PDX, Portland Youth Climate Strike, Sunnyside Environmental School, and many more invite you to the Earth Day Celebration. Join the colorful costume parade, complete with marching bands, where all are encouraged to dress up as their favorite flora, fauna, or any elements inspired by nature. Then, experience Earth Church, a secular service to celebrate with words, live music and song Mother Earth’s radical abundance, her spectacular everyday greenery, breezes, sunshine, rainstorms, and birdsongs. Bask in her divine glory and give thanks for belonging here.

Sunnyside Environmental School and Sunnyside Community Center (in the Groves Church)
- 11:30 a.m. – Gather — Sunnyside School Yard
- Noon – Parade through the Sunnyside Neighborhood
- 1:30 p.m. – Earth Church — A Natural World Celebration
