The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Internationally acclaimed organist and pilot Erik Wm. Suter presents a breathtaking organ recital for Trinity Cathedral’s Catherine Crozier Memorial Organ Recital. Suter’s impressive program includes several pillars of the organ repertoire and the world premiere of Infinity Loop, a brand-new work by composer Texu Kim. From pieces of epic grandiosity like Jean Demessieux’s Te Deum and Franz Liszt’s Fantasy and Fugue on “Ad nos” to works full yearning lyricism from Louis Vierne and Herbert Howells, Suter’s program is one of true excitement and versatility. This, combined with a highly anticipated world premiere, truly makes this recital one of a kind. Trinity’s remarkable Rosales pipe organ could not be better suited for such a thrilling program.

Dr. Catharine Crozier (1914-2003) was an Artist-in-Residence at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for much of the last decade of her life and was one of the most admired and sought-after American concert organists of the 20th century. Dr. Crozier was a pioneer among women in a field once heavily dominated by male performers. Her legacy supports our annual Catharine Crozier Memorial Organ Recital, which brings brilliant concert organists from across the globe to Trinity.
