The Archaeology Roadshow once again returns to Portland State University. Immerse yourself in the history and archaeology of Oregon through exhibits and hands-on activities hosted by archaeologists and heritage specialists from PSU, Tribes, museums, private and nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.
The 2024 theme is the Archaeology of Food: try salmon, elk, or wappato and learn more about important foods to people in the area. Bring personal objects (stone tools, pottery, animal bones) you wish to learn more about to a panel of experts who will help you interpret your findings. No financial appraisals are given.
This family-friendly event allows visitors of all ages to learn more about Oregon’s past and its connections to us today.
It is completely free and open to all.
