Trillium Festival
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
For 43 years, Tryon Creek has celebrated the return of the Trillium, an early-season perennial native to local forests. This beautiful white flower awakens each year in late February and early March. It slowly turns to a reddish-purple by the end of April or early May, making it an excellent beginning to the spring wildflower season.
The Boskey Dell Native Plant Sale will help you create a healthy habitat in your very own yard.
This free family-friendly event offers a suite of educational stations around the Nature Center and trails.
Enjoy a festive day in the woods in celebration of Trillium with us and experience interactive learning for kids of all ages.
