Kodomo no Hi, Children’s Day
Bring the whole family to Portland Japanese Garden for Kodomo no Hi, Children’s Day, the traditional Japanese celebration of the health and well-being of your little ones. Marking the celebrations are the koinobori, cloth carp streamers hung outside of homes and public buildings to bring good fortune to children. Family-friendly activities include taiko drumming, a scavenger hunt and crafts activities.
Reigning Roses Walk
Walk with or in honor of a special woman in your life at the yearly Reigning Roses Walk. The walk is a Mother’s Day tradition that helps to raise funds to support thousands of women and children in need organized by the Rose Haven Day Shelter.
