Mother’s Day Cruise

Reigning Roses Walk

Walk with or in honor of a special woman in your life at the yearly Reigning Roses Walk. The walk is a Mother’s Day tradition that helps to raise funds to support thousands of women and children in need, organized by the Rose Haven Day Shelter.

Hippie Chick Half Marathon

Show your appreciation for your mom and celebrate how amazing all women are at the Hippie Chick Half Marathon. Run or walk along the scenic Willamette River in the picturesque Chamoeg State Park, half an hour south of Portland. Included in the event is a fun run for kids, a half marathon and a quarter marathon run/walk.

Kodomo no Hi, Children’s Day

Bring the whole family to Portland Japanese Garden for Kodomo no Hi, Children’s Day, the traditional Japanese celebration of the health and well-being of your little ones. Marking the celebrations are the koinobori, cloth carp streamers hung outside of homes and public buildings to bring good fortune to children. Family-friendly activities include taiko drumming, a scavenger hunt and crafts activities.
