Portland doesn’t just make music. It makes what makes music. More than 150 independent manufacturers across Oregon and SW Washington are building drums, guitars, amps, pedals, synths, microphones, recording equipment and music technology. Most people have no idea.

Music Craft NW is their launch party. Benson Amps is assembling a performance backline from Northwest-made gear, and local bands are playing on it — so the performance doubles as the demonstration. Expect to meet the makers, hear about gear you can actually get your hands on, enjoy local food and drink, and catch live music throughout the afternoon.
