Eivør
Eivør is one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the Nordic music scene, an artist whose work bridges ancient tradition and contemporary sound. Raised in the Faroe Islands, she draws on the stark landscapes and communal singing culture of her homeland, where music is both a ritual and an everyday expression.
Blending elements of Nordic folk, cinematic composition and modern production, Eivør has built a genre-defying catalog across 11 studio albums. Her sound moves fluidly between the primal and the refined, combining raw vocal techniques, atmospheric textures and rhythmic intensity. In 2021, she was awarded the Nordic Council Music Prize, recognizing her unique artistic voice and contribution to contemporary music.
Alongside her solo work, Eivør has gained international recognition for her compositions for film, television and games, including The Last Kingdom and God of War, where her voice and writing have helped define expansive, emotionally driven sound worlds.
