ADX Fest
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
ADX Fest, a new region-wide art and design festival, is activating venues, studios, and spaces across the Portland metro area. Headquartered at Art Design Xchange (ADX) in the Central Eastside, ADX Fest celebrates the independent artists, designers, makers, and creatives who power the region’s cultural and economic vitality. The festival launches with a grand opening weekend, Friday through Sunday, October 2 – 4, 2026, and continues throughout the month with exhibitions, open studios, performances, screenings, workshops, trade shows, and collaborative programming citywide. Throughout October, the festival will spotlight locally owned and independently operated creative businesses and organizations through a growing calendar of events.
The only requirement to participate is that all businesses must be locally owned and independently operated.
“The interconnectedness of Portland’s creative scene is where our true power lies as a city. We work together, hire each other, and help each other make our projects come to life,” says ADX Founder and Creative Director Kelley Roy. “From our world-renowned comic arts scene to our globally traded, locally made goods, Portland’s Making It, and we’re making it together.”
In 2026, Art Design Xchange celebrates its 15th anniversary, marking a milestone for one of Portland’s most resilient and entrepreneurial institutions. The opening weekend of ADX Fest (October 2–4) will honor ADX’s legacy and the hundreds of thousands of artists and makers who have launched businesses, honed their skills, and found community within its walls.
