The Portland Pickles are a collegiate summer wood-bat baseball team playing in the West Coast League’s South Division. Founded in 2015 to bring baseball back to the city after the Portland Beavers left in 2010, the team has had recent success, including a 2022 division title and their first-ever West Coast League championship in 2024. They’re best known for their “punk rock baseball” atmosphere — quirky promotions, an eight-foot pickle mascot named Dillon, and fan traditions like conch shells and chair-lifting — which earned them a full MLB Network documentary, “Pickles, Pickles, Pickles.”
