Shakespeare Unbuttoned
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Shakespeare: Unbuttoned explores how William Shakespeare played with identity, gender, and transformation. Both on the page and in performance. Shakespeare’s plays are full of disguise, gender bending, and love discovered through transformation.
Each 75–90 minute evening features a live scene, an interactive workshop or conversation, and a repeat performance that invites audiences to experience the work through a new lens. Workshops focus on the craft of transformation through special guest appearances on costume and makeup with Poison Waters, voice with Macy Seelochan, language with Sarah Spring, and more.
