Join SUN RICE during their brunch service for a Filipino-style BBQ cookout. Lester Cabigting will be cooking up skewers on the grill, SUN RICE’s very own mixologist — Jacob — crafting two special drinks made with a Filipino rice wine called Tapuey, and scoops of Filipino-inspired ice cream from Portland’s only Filipino creamery, Butchukoy’s Ice Cream, to top it all off.
Come dressed in your best Filipino fashion — whether you’re a Bebot, a Jejemon, a Hypebeast, or a Swagapino — or whatever being Filipino (or an ally of the community) means to you. The best dressed will win $250 to shop with a Philippines-based designer (Lucas Lumban Barong, Cordillera Couture, Mono Homme Studios, Ched Studios or Kelvin Morales). One winner will be chosen.
