The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Push Movement’s Block Party is a free, community-centered event that brings together youth, families, and neighbors for a day of skateboarding, art, music, and connection. The event is designed to create a safe, inclusive space where people of all ages can experience the energy and creativity of Push Movement, build community and celebrate youth culture.

Attendees can expect open skate sessions, live art and interactive creative activities, music, food, vendors, and opportunities to connect with local organizations and resources. The event highlights the positive impact of skateboarding and art as tools for expression, mentorship, and violence prevention, in addition to representation from other Portland non-profits.

The Block Party is open to all skill levels—no prior skateboarding experience is needed. Equipment may be available to borrow, and staff and volunteers will be present to support beginners and ensure a safe environment. Attendees are encouraged to bring a helmet, water, and comfortable clothing.

This event is free and family-friendly, with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels included, supported, and inspired.
