The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Rooted in accessibility, collaboration, and community care, A Beat Happening has spent nearly a decade building a free, monthly, all-ages platform for emerging and established artists to connect, share, and grow. This showcase brings together multiple Portland-based hip-hop, dance, and electronic music collectives, event curators, and tastemakers in one lineup, highlighting the depth and energy of the city’s independent music scene.

Hosted at L’Atelier Yaffe, a Black-owned gallery, cafe and event space owned and operated by George Fochive and the home of ABH since 2023, continuing their mission of creating an inclusive celebration that centers BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists and communities, while staying open to all and fully accessible. Alongside performances, tap in with community partners and local creatives for resources, networking, and connections beyond the music. The lineup includes performances by A Beat Happening, Let Her Cook, The Thesis, Global Based, Hungry Hungry Hip Hop, Skratcher Portland, and DJ Klyph. Community partner tables include Cordero Customs, Guilded Freelancer Collective, Finder Goods, EXT. 606 Recording Studio, and Friends of Noise. Sponsored by City of Portland, Portland Events and Film, and Prosper Portland.
