Returning this summer, Waza to Kokoro: Hands and Heart is a rare opportunity to learn from experts what goes into building Japanese gardens. This weeklong program from the Japanese Garden Training Center is packed with hands-on instruction in pruning, bamboo fence construction, and more. Seminar students will learn directly from Hugo Torii, Garden Curator of Portland Japanese Garden, and other expert instructors from Japan. Applications for Waza to Kokoro are open now through March 31.
