Queer Joy Is Our Resistance
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Queer Joy Is Our Resistance features music by queer and queer-ally artists that celebrates existence and power in community. Queer people in today’s culture demonstrate bravery every day, and remaining joyful is one of the ways to counteract the negative energy directed at the queer community. Singing in a queer choir is a radical act of resistance. Joy is an act of resistance.
This concert will include music by Carly Rae Jepsen, Dua Lipa, Shea Diamond, Pattie Gonia, Joy Oladokun, Brandi Carlile, and others. The Joy, Power, and Resistance of 160 singers is an experience not to be missed.
