The Bechdel Set: An Inclusive, Feminist Comedy Show

Can comics perform material that passes the rules of the famous Bechdel Test? You be the judge.
Cited in the Portland Mercury as “one of those delightfully ‘queer-adjacent’ shows that’s both hilarious and unapologetically feminist,” The Bechdel Set returns to its monthly 2nd Tuesday slot at Haymaker with a line-up of some of Portland’s funniest and hottest comedians.
Featuring the talents of:
- Jarrel Newsome
- Andrea Menchaca
- Billie Manton
- and headlining Ameerah Sanders
Hosted by Jenna Britann and Quinne Salameh, this event is open to all, and this show is inclusively feminist — if ya ain’t a TERF or a jerk, you’re welcome here. Online RSVPs and door sales are sliding scale to accommodate all budgets.
This venue is small and fills up fast. RSVP online in advance to reserve a seat. Tickets are GAYAF (Give As You’re Able Friend) with a suggested donation of $10.
Show starts at 8:00 p.m., but arrive early to grab seats, order drinks/food, and get situated.
If the show is “sold out” and the RSVP list is full, as many guests as possible will be accommodated at the door.
