Among Women: A Celebration of Women in the Arts

In Mulieribus announces the return of Among Women, a community event held in honor of International Women’s Day. The gathering serves as a vibrant showcase of local talent and a tribute to the innovative women who shape Portland’s artistic community.
The program celebrates the diverse artistic contributions of local women through music, dance, visual art, and poetry. Featured artists this year include the In Mulieribus ensemble, singer-songwriter Edna Vasquez, dancer and choreographer Chisao Hata, the poetry of Janice Gould, and visual artist Mini Giri.
Beyond performances, the event features light food and refreshments, as well as a communal art project where guests can express their creativity and participate in a collective tribute to the women in their lives.
This inclusive celebration is free and open to all. It offers the community an opportunity to gather in a spirit of joy and inspiration while recognizing the courageous female voices that continue to influence the world.
