Reducing Overwhelm: A Reflective Art Museum Workshop
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Step away from the noise of daily routines with a structured morning designed for mental clarity. This 3-hour workshop uses the Portland Art Museum as a quiet, neutral setting to observe how you think and work.
Participants are led through simple observation prompts in the galleries—no art knowledge or creative skills required. Use art as a shared reference point to explore themes of pressure and overwhelm in a way that feels calm and insightful, rather than clinical. The session concludes with a facilitated conversation at a nearby coffee shop, where gallery insights are translated into practical tools for a more balanced life.
What’s Included:
- 90 minutes of guided museum exploration.
- 90 minutes of facilitated group conversation.
- An optional one-hour Zoom check-in two weeks later.
Note: Workshop fee is $55. Museum admission ($27.50 or free for members) is paid directly to the museum.
