Assembly of Ephemera: Collage workshop for adults
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Did you know the word “collage” comes from the French word “coller,” which means “to stick”? Collage can be thought of as the intersection between art and explorative puzzle-making: when you cut and tear images and patterns, then re-arrange them into something new, you never quite know what you’ll end up with. Whether you’ve never collaged before, haven’t collaged since you were a kid, or are an avid collage maker with a collection of old photos, colorful papers, and hundred-year-old love letters — this is your chance “to stick”. Dig into a vast collection or bring your own materials for this 3-hour workshop. There will also be creativity prompts available if you need a spark to get started.
Using papers of all kinds, old books, magazines, tissue paper, ink pens, POSCA markers, graphite, watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, glue, Mod Podge, and acrylic mediums.
