Learn to make the traditional rolled yule log cake, but with a more sophisticated flavor and texture, and none of those cheesy meringue mushrooms. 100% hands-on and you can take your Bûche de Noël home, wrap it, and store it in the freezer until Christmas or whenever you choose to celebrate. Magical, non?

Class price includes a signed copy of Modern French Pastry, your bûche de noël and refreshments. All classes are limited to eight students.

Author, teacher and pastry chef, Cheryl Wakerhauser, has been promoting high-quality food and beverages for 20+ years at her Portland institution, Pix Pâtisserie. Cheryl honed her pastry skills in Southern France at the pâtisserie of the former president of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Philippe Urraca. Her books, Modern French Pastry and Petite Pâtisserie, have received accolades from France’s two most prestigious professional cooking trade journals, Thuriès Gastonomie and Le Journal du Pâtissier.
