No Kings Day of Action II
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Joyful warriors — it’s time to mobilize. Defend democracy. Stop Tyranny in its tracks. End the Abuse of Power. Organize and demand the future you want.
Hosted by 50501 and Indivisible groups from across the Portland Metro area, you are invited to No Kings Day II on Saturday, October 18.
This peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan — it’s the foundation upon which this nation was built. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
Come together with your neighbors as One Nation Indivisible at Waterfront Park. Add your voice to protect our rights and freedoms.
The schedule:
March in by 10:30: bring your friends, your co-workers, your community. Wear your team colors, carry your signs and represent your cause. From Pioneer Courthouse Square (SW), Convention Ctr Plaza (NE) and (SE) over Hawthorne Bridge.
All grand entry marches will step off at 11 a.m. and head to the Waterfront. At noon, gather at Waterfront Park to rise up with Music and Inspiring Speakers.
Learn ways you can stay involved and resist the regime.
No Kings! Shoulder to Shoulder, In Solidarity. At 1 p.m., the One Nation Indivisible Grand March will step off onto the Downtown Portland route.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. All participants are expected to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with these values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
