The Bay Area’s Free Key Choir is embarking on a Pacific Northwest tour. The 130-voice collective of independent songwriters and musicians will perform a show in Portland at First United Methodist Church.

Consistently selling out shows in the Bay Area since they began in 2022, the choir is ready to show the rest of the world their fresh new approach to choral singing and community art-making with their first-ever tour outside of California in September 2025. Comprised of songwriters and musicians in the Bay Area’s independent music scene, Free Key Choir transforms songs written by its members into massive compositions for more than a hundred singers and various instruments. Their arrangements take inspiration from a wide breadth of genres, from folk, punk, Renaissance, barbershop, gospel, and beyond. The PNW tour will feature songs by Lucy Broom, Affectionately, Cai Rodis, Waterstrider, Nuxia Peng, Liana Warren, Concession, Neder Gatmon-Segal, and more.
