Lonely God Fest presents an early outdoor show at Kenton Club with loud guitars, pretty harmonies, lush synths and vibrant pop songs.
Pool Boys thrive in dualities — they live in the space where soft and sensitive give way to grit and ire. Melodic guitar hooks and oft-spacey, oft-grungy textures are thoroughly supported by driving bass lines and lush layers of vocal harmonies. Weaving together elements and inspirations from Motown and ’70s synths to ’90s rock and early aughts indie, Neal Morgan’s new album PAW is contoured and colorful, built around a spine of vibrant pop songs.
