Ireland-based singer-songwriter Gráinne Hunt will perform at Rose City Guitar Company with special guest Avery Hill, a local singer-songwriter and storyteller.

Acclaimed, queer Irish singer-songwriter Gráinne Hunt is thrilled to announce her upcoming US tour. The tour starts in the Mountain West and takes in the West Coast, from Portland to San Diego. It features intimate performances in renowned listening rooms, historic venues, and community spaces.

Known for her powerhouse performances, vocals that are smooth and rich like complex coffee and songs that resonate deeply, Gráinne is looking forward to connecting with new and old audiences at an intimate level while showcasing new material and fan favorites. Gráinne is promoting a new live EP on this tour, which was recorded last year while on the road in the East Coast and Midwest and will be joined on this tour by her partner, San Diego drummer and vocalist Jules Stewart.

About Gráinne:

A queer, nu-folk singer-songwriter with a voice like complex coffee, Gráinne Hunt is a standout among Ireland’s most compelling vocalists and songwriters. She blends raw emotion with a quiet, commanding power. Her two original records and new live EP draw from deeply personal experiences, weaving stories of pain, longing and joy, earning her comparisons to Tracy Chapman and Natalie Merchant. Her reputation as a powerhouse performer has landed her on stages alongside Glen Hansard and U2, with opening slots for Gladys Knight and Mary Black. After showcasing at Folk Alliance International in 2024, she secured an 0-1 Visa to cement her presence stateside. She kicked off 2025 showcasing at Celtic Connections she’s already tour the US and Australia this year. She returns to the US in August, and launches her new show ‘Queer Arrivals’ at Liverpool Irish Festival in Oct 2025.

Beyond her solo work, Gráinne thrives in collaboration, working with award-winning guitarist Brendan Walsh on Songs from Ireland and Hibsen, a literary folk project that wrote an album based on James Joyce’s “Dubliners.”
