Welcome to the SUMMER OF ’99, before smartphones, social media, and streaming. Pre-doom scroll, bed rot, and AI ubiquity. 1999 wasn’t just another year—it was THE year. The one that redefined cinema. It was a launching pad for today’s biggest filmmakers, a breakout year for indie film, and a cultural turning point that echoes today. To celebrate, Tomorrow Theater is hosting a diabolical DOUBLE EXPOSURE of Eyes Wide Shut and Magnolia. It’s hard to BELIEVE these films came out in the same year, and nonetheless both feature some incredible performances by the one and only TOM CRUISE.

After Dr. Bill Harford’s wife, Alice (Nicole Kidman), admits to having sexual fantasies about a man she met, Bill (Tom Cruise) becomes obsessed with having a sexual encounter. He discovers an underground sexual group and attends one of their meetings, and quickly discovers that he is in over his head.
