Portland Regional Gem and Mineral Show

The Portland Regional Gem and Mineral Show, the largest local rock and mineral show in the Portland metro area, is presented each year by five regional non-profit clubs to promote lapidary arts, geology, paleontology, and mineralogy. Visit the show to learn from a variety of great exhibits and demonstrations.
- 40+ Vendors: Attendees can browse a diverse marketplace featuring polished stones, specimens, crystals, fossils, jewelry, and raw materials for lapidary artists, jewelers, and metalworkers.
- Display Exhibits: Explore lapidary art, specimens, and geological wonders from global collections, competitive displays, and junior rockhounds.
- Lapidary & Faceting Demonstrations: Observe artisans stone cutting, polishing, faceting, and jewelry-making.
- Kid’s Corner: Interactive educational games and hands-on activities created to engage and inspire young geology and paleontology enthusiasts.
- Paleontology Fossil area: Explore fossils through informative displays, demonstrations, and interactive activities, including micro and macro photography.
- Door Prizes, Raffle, and Silent Auction: Engage in various drawings and auctions showcasing rock and mineral specimens, jewelry, and items suitable for all ages. Children can participate in hourly drawings to learn gold panning with the Northwest Minerals Prospectors Club.
- Educational Talks: Expert lectures on paleontology and geology for all ages. As well as special demonstrations and exhibit from the Northwest Mineral Prospectors Club.
