The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Campfire Tales: A Live Storytelling Community encourages true, personal storytelling and connection through live events. The audience is invited to sit and listen or offer written feedback, and if they want to, they can become more involved in the arc of conversation around the histories, truths and legacies.

For Storytellers

  • Limited storytelling slots — register early
  • Stories should be 5–7 minutes, personal, and mostly true
  • Bring notes or read aloud — your format is welcome
  • Opt-in for written audience feedback to help shape your story
  • Post-show social hour to meet fellow storytellers and listeners

For the Audience

  • Listen to true, live stories from people in your community
  • Optionally offer feedback to help storytellers improve
  • Connect with others during the post-show social hour
  • Snacks, drinks, and s’mores are available for purchase

How It Works

All storytellers must register in advance through the event page to secure a time slot. Feeling spontaneous? Audience members can opt into the HOT SEAT—a last-minute opportunity to share your story live by tossing your name in the hat.

Personal Stories are important — listening is just as important as speaking. Campfire Tales creates a space where both are welcome.
