Burlynomicon: Summer Camp - CAMP ON THE HIGH SEAS
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
For the summer months, Burlynomicon presents SUMMER CAMP — all darkly decadent, campy acts, only during the summer. Is that booty in your pocket, arrrrrr you just happy to SEA me?!? Grab your grog and set sail for the finest entertainment this side of the seven seas. Relive the campiest tales from afar with CAMP ON THE HIGH SEAS. Pirates. Merfolk. Sea Witches. Bathing Beauties. Fantastical Creatures. BOOTY.
Burlynomicon transforms The Coffin into the Summer Camp you wish you went to. Gather in the intimate upstairs venue (around the campfire) to witness a spectacular showing of the best darkly decadent (and campy) performance art among resplendently eerie surroundings, where you can also peruse the delightful wares of our vendor, crack open a cold one, indulge in food to nourish your weary soul, roast some marshmallows (or order from the Coffin Cart), and encounter a magical being that will tell you of your fortune. Be prepared to be the best in the camp game, where you could win the ultimate in camp prizes.
There will also be a camp activity where you can customize any shirt with our BURLYNOMICAMP stencil. Bring your own or choose from an array of up-cycled garments, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the charity of the month.
Brave the high seas to witness your entertainers….

Produced and hosted by Natasha Riot, Burlynomicon is a darkly decadent monthly showcase of performances held every second Tuesday of the month in the incredibly rare, cryptic expanse of The Coffin Club. Venture into the dark speakeasy that features a monthly rotating cast of cabaret and performance art talent from Portland and beyond, where performers present art and beauty with an eerie and humorous twist.
