Soft Reset: A SAMP Sound Art Installation

A multi-layered sonic collage that explores a range of pressing societal issues, revealing the complexities of the modern empathy crisis. By transforming localized data into sound, the installation challenges the engagement with complex social dilemmas. Each layer of sound corresponds to themes such as women’s healthcare disparities, the closure of community spaces, land use and biodiversity loss, and the intricate dynamics of political engagement and immigration. Through this auditory experience, the installation invites the audience to confront the choices between connection and disconnection, empathy and apathy.
