Portland Archaeology Roadshow

Join the 13th annual Archaeology Roadshow in Portland. Taking the celebration of history and archaeology to East Portland’s Gateway Discovery Park. Immerse yourself in the heritage of the region through pop-up exhibits and hands-on activities hosted by over 35 organizations, including Tribes, local museums, government agencies, private companies and universities. Discover hidden Portland stories, make a stone tool or a basket, or throw an ancient spear. Find out how to volunteer or chart a career in heritage — right here in the Pacific Northwest. To assist non-English speakers, there will be translators for Spanish and other languages.
Bring personal objects (stone tools, pottery, animal bones) you wish to learn more about to a panel of experts who will help you interpret your find. No financial appraisals are given.
This free, family-friendly (and fun!) event gives visitors of all ages the chance to learn about Oregon’s past and its connections to today.
