The Lake Grove Concert Series proudly presents a monumental performance of Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living, a breathtaking choral work that the New York Concert Review describes as “powerful, moving… majestic… [and] beautiful music.” Requiem for the Living is a stirring celebration of life, bringing together rich choral harmonies and orchestral brilliance. With its masterful blend of modern and traditional text, this piece touches the hearts of listeners, offering solace and reflection, and ultimately embracing the beauty of human existence and life. This free concert, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Lake Grove Concert Series, will also feature a newly commissioned work by composer Sean O’Loughlin. This exciting new piece adds a fresh and dynamic dimension to the celebration, offering a unique musical experience for all in attendance. Performers include the 100-voice Sanctuary Choir, two of Lake Grove’s children’s choirs, renowned soloists Abigail Krawson and Brandon Michael, and a chamber orchestra made up of members of the Oregon Symphony. Join us for a spectacular and moving hour as we commemorate a decade of artistic excellence with this unforgettable performance.
