Portland Regional Gem and Mineral Show

The Portland Regional Gem and Mineral Show, the largest local rock and mineral show in the Portland metro area, is presented each year by five regional non-profit clubs to promote lapidary arts, geology, paleontology, and mineralogy. Visit the show to learn from a variety of great exhibits and demonstrations.
- 40+ dealers from all around the Northwest selling rocks, minerals, fossils, jewelry, beads, faceted gems, and lapidary supplies
- There are over 70 display exhibits of a variety of rocks, minerals, and fossils, some of which are competition displays and some of which are put on by our Junior rock hounds and collectors.
- Kids’ corner with games and prizes
- Interactive Fossil Area to look at fossils and ask questions
- Fun cell phone scavenger hunt through the displays. Wear your favorite rock & mineral t-shirt
- Photographer of rocks and minerals.
- Door prizes, Raffle, and Silent Auctions
- Interactive demonstrations from experienced artisans in subjects like wire wrapping, beading, cabbing and faceting.
- Kids can win a chance (through a drawing every hour) to learn how to pan for real gold with the NW Minerals Prospectors Club.
- Presentations for adults and children (children need to be accompanied by an adult to all presentations).
