Downtown Portland will come alive once again as the 2026 Chinese Festival returns. Known as Portland’s living room, the Square will host a full day of cultural celebration, showcasing the vibrancy, resilience, and enduring contributions of the Chinese American community. 

Festival highlights include: 

  • Live Cultural Performances: Enjoy a full day of traditional and contemporary performances, including dance, martial arts, music, and lion and dragon dances, featuring more than 500 performers from across the region. 
  •  Authentic Chinese Cuisine: Sample a wide variety of delicious dishes from local food vendors, showcasing the richness and diversity of Chinese culinary traditions. 
  • Interactive Cultural Activities: Explore Chinese calligraphy, traditional crafts, hands-on activities, and family-friendly experiences for visitors of all ages. 
  • Chinese American Heritage Exhibits: Learn about the history, stories, and contributions of Chinese Americans in Oregon through educational displays and community presentations. 
  • Community Resource Booths: Connect with nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and community groups providing information, services, and opportunities for civic engagement. 

The Chinese Festival is free and open to the public. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend and immerse themselves in an unforgettable celebration of culture, heritage, and community in the heart of downtown Portland.Â
