Brandenburg All-Stars
An array of the world’s most renowned chamber musicians unite for this one-time concert featuring Bach’s Trio Sonata with superstars violinist Shunske Sato, flutist Emi Ferguson, and pianist Kit Armstrong, followed by 2025 Grammy Award-winner mezzo-soprano Fleur Barron with Mahler’s evocative Rückert-Lieder. The evening culminates with an all-star ensemble of CMNW favorites — violinists Soovin Kim and Jessica Lee, violists Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt and Paul Neubauer, and cellist Edward Arron — performing Mendelssohn’s romantic String Quintet No. 1 in A Major.
There is a special tradition of “picnics” before concerts at Reed College’s Kaul Auditorium. Reed’s catering service, Bon Appétit, offers food and drink service beginning at 6 p.m. Alternately, you can bring your own picnic, but alcoholic beverages must be purchased on-site.
