The Ally of The Year Pageant: A Search For The Best Straight Person
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
The third annual ALLY OF THE YEAR pageant comes to Funhouse Lounge. Six straight comedians will enter the ring — Carson Crashley, Haley Klarfeld, Hewitt Pagenstecher, Jason Burton, Yue Zhou, and… Chad. After speeches, a fashion show, and a grand finale lip sync, only ONE will emerge victorious as the 2025 Ally of the Year.
This year's pageant will be hosted by Joe John Sanchez III and an esteemed judging panel that includes Brian Govender, Katie Shook, Lindy Tongol, and Nick Altishin. One lucky audience member will be selected to become the 2025 Pride Monarch, taking over the title from Mack Lee.
There may even be a speech from our previous winner, Erica Figueroa. Anything could happen.
Tickets are donation-based, and all proceeds will go DIRECTLY to the top surgery fund of a local trans drag performer.
