Co-authoring Carol G. Kerr and Linda N. Edelstein
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
BOLD is thrilled to host Co-authoring Across Time, Distance, and Discoveries with Carol G. Kerr and Linda N. Edelstein, co-authors of Not The Trip We Planned.
Not the Trip We Planned is Carol Kerr’s debut novel, co-authored with Linda Edelstein, who has written non-fiction about women’s adult development. The authors are lifelong friends who promised in their 30s to someday write a mystery together. Despite living cross-country from each other for decades, they’ve just fulfilled their promise in their 70s. Authoring is a good antidote to aging and deepened their friendship. Come talk about co-authoring and the invention of characters and story.
Carol Kerr, Ph.D., is new to Portland and a native Californian who met Linda Edelstein when they were graduate psychology students at Northwestern. They bonded over their sense of humor that helped them write non-fiction, survive marriage and parenthood, and realize that growing older can make you bolder.
