Sadako and Paper Cranes: Through Our Eyes
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
In observance of 80 years since the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Sadako and Paper Cranes examines the devastation of nuclear war through the eyes of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl who experienced it. Alongside her story will be original works from artists Erin Shigaki, Lynn Yarne, Marie Johnston, Maya McDarragh, and six Grant High School students that contribute to ongoing discussions about peace and nuclear disarmament.
