May the fourth be with you…a day early. Join The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven and the Star Theater for a variety show of galactic proportions with Rebellions Are Built On Hope: A Star Wars Night Carnival.
As the world falls into chaos, the Empire rises, and Sith and sin reign across the stars; in a galaxy far, far away a Rebellion blossoms right under the Emperor’s nose. Watch as characters from your favorite Star Wars movies and shows grace the stage — from the Witches of Dathomir to Princess Leia Organa herself in an all-star lineup of Portland’s best circus, fringe, burlesque, and cabaret artists.
Come dressed as your favorite character from the Star Wars universe and enjoy curated cocktails fit for the Mos Eisley Cantina from The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven mixologists Myrrh Larsen and Megan Skye Hale, plus grab a snack and watch the skies for scavengers on the Starlight Patio and Lounge. Whether you’re Jedi or Sith, Republic, New Republic, or Empire — Rebellions Are Built on Hope is a night for every droid, Skywalker, and scruffy-looking nerfherder.
N95 or equivalent masks are highly encouraged for all guests when indoors. Guests incorporating an N95 or equivalent mask into their costume will receive a special thank-you gift.
Multiple times a year, The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven produces the Night Carnival, a themed costume and cocktail party featuring cocktails, costumes, and live acts from Portland’s thriving alternative performance community. As always, 100% of net ticket sales go directly to performers.
