Mavis Beacon is a fictional character, although some people swear they remember Mavis Beacon winning typing contests. In this documentary, the filmmakers explore the cultural impact Mavis Beacon had on the representation of Black women in technology and search for the real-life model who appeared on the cover of this typing software.
