Blü Egyptian returns to Portland on their holiday run at Laurelthirst Public House w/ Bikini Drone. Blü Egyptian is an exhilarating young quartet based in Northern California who pioneered the genre of Prog-Jam. This catchy breed of Funk, Latin, Reggae, Bluegrass and Rock n’ Roll has swept up the entire West Coast in a dance frenzy. Since 2020, Blü Egyptian has played over 400 shows, opening for national touring acts and making a splash at countless festivals. With the release of their third studio album, Chantress of Amun, they have reached audiences far and wide, creating a demand for this unique original music that carries the spirit of many legends while redefining them. From the Grateful Dead to Talking Heads, Phish and Jamiroquai, Ween, Primus, Beck and Cake, the band has learned to play the music that made them want to start the band four years ago.
