Weekly Hiking Group with Adventures Without Limits
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Grab a friend and join in for a weekly hiking group meetup throughout the month of October. Each week, meet at a Portland-area location for a group hike to get outside to spend quality time building relationships. The trip is open to the public, inclusive, and accessible to people of all abilities. Adventures Without Limits specializes in creating a welcoming space for diverse sets of needs.
- 10/1: Start the Hiking Group this week by meandering through the second-generation forest and colorful autumn hues at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. This area is known for being a popular place to see woodpeckers, owls, and other native species, and is the only Oregon State Park within a major Metropolitan area.
- 10/12 and 10/26: Journey into the heart of Forest Park: Hoyt Arboretum. Here, you will find many different types of trees, from deciduous to evergreen. This area is known for being a popular place to see woodpeckers, owls, and other native species. It is the largest forested park within a major Metropolitan area in the United States.
- 10/21: Leave the Portland area to voyage to Silver Falls State Park outside of Salem — meander through trails of tall trees to see waterfalls and observe the changing autumn colors.
