Anna Magruder and Jeanne Cardana are the October featured artists at Sidestreet Arts.
Anna's favorite subjects to paint are people, animals, and whatever lies between. Drifting between realism and surrealism, she explores vintage America, reimagining the lives and stories of the characters on canvas.
Jeanne captures her subjects' hearts and spirits — equine, domestic, or wildlife. Spanning forty years, Jeanne's biological, wildlife, and medical illustration works have been featured in scientific and domestic publications (including National Wildlife, Mother Earth News, and Fins and Feathers) and textbooks. But, for this show, she has created lifelike needle-felted animals.
The October Spotlight Artist is Anita Reuther. She is creating stained paper and Citra Art mixed media for this show.
