Fall in Love with Lents: Really Free Night Market

The Fall in Love with Lents Friday Really Free Night Market is inspired by the “Really, Really Free” Market (RRFM) movement, which is a temporary market that aims to counteract capitalism by sharing. Sharing includes resources, caring for one another, and improving the collective lives of everyone in the community through giving and receiving.
This event is 100 percent free and created by everyone who shows up (that’s you). Transform each other through collective spirit and sharing – showcasing abundance, recycling, reusing and creativity. Be generous and join in. Bring what you can, take what you need or want, and enjoy the company and talent of your neighbors. Please bring items, skills, knowledge, information, food, and games to share. No barter, no trade, no money – everything is free.
Please plan to take home anything you bring that does not get picked up by others – being sharers, not litterers. (The clean-up crew is volunteers, so help is appreciated.)
Live music from local Lents/East Portland bands The End of the World Band, Sil's Salsa Trio, and The Modern Folk Band. Stay from 7 – 8 pm for "after-hours" queer comedy and performances. All entertainment is free and open to the public. Fall in Love with Lents is an event that aims to build community, celebrate art, and activate the community by providing opportunities accessible to all members of our diverse East Portland Community to connect, create, and explore… right in the heart of our Lents community.
