Kicking off Portland Pride Weekend, The Get Down becomes the Upside Down for Queerer Things. Bring your gang and get ready to party like the very fabric of the world is unraveling at this 80s remix party. This electrifying event is a celebration of queer culture, 80s nostalgia, and a love for the macabre. Dress up as your favorite character from the show, in your finest 80s threads, or an outfit queerer than Vecna for this one-night-only event. A nightlife photographer will make sure your memorable look will end up in the books.

DJs:

PNW nightlife extraordinaire Haute Toddy (Eagle PDX, Beaux / QBar SF). He's laid down beats from BC to LA and everywhere in between. We've also got Frankie Valentine (Precinct LA) raising the 80s from the dead and playing edits that'll be stuck in your head all weekend.

Performers:

Violet Hex – Jewel of Portland nightlife and trans femme drag enigma. Violet exists in the fringe between cult cinema, iconic music, and the love of maximalist art. Find her hosting a screening at the Clinton St Theater or performing a tribute to music's greatest at Blackwater; you'll definitely be in for a night to remember.

Asia Consent — Portland’s Provocative Pariah. Asia is a biracial trans queen who loves to be pretty, out of drag…spooky, in drag…but always beautiful on the inside. She's been performing in drag since she was 16(!) and has since performed coast to coast and loves bringing a piece of Asia everywhere.

Horror Decorror:

Matthew Krumpe, or Linda Recessionista as she's known in drag, produces the largest pansexual parties in LA, conceptualizing and decorating for A Club Called Rhonda and bringing premium nightlife to all corners of California. You can count on a gorgeous event with this one.

Ty Givens makes incredible hand-cut display pieces from reclaimed goods, as seen at Rose City comic con, impressive stained-glass inspired light-up sculptures, as seen at the Portland Winter Light Festival and in bars like the Eagle, and anything that can be made with his hands, like his installation at Dinolandia. You won't want to miss what he brings to the space.

Limited tickets are available, grab them soon and let's crank this party up to 11.
