Kölsch Fest

Kölsch, a regional specialty of Cologne that can only legally be brewed in the city to carry the name(as appellation d'origine controllee in wine), is Germany's answer to the British pale ale. Its pale straw color, subtle fruity flavors, and easy drinking character makes it the perfect bier for summer drinking.
Portland’s premiere German beer bar PROST! will be featuring 4 Kölsch biers from Reissdorf, Gaffel, Früh, and Sion breweries (more TBA) that will be all served in the traditional .2L(6.76oz) kölsch stange, and delivered by kölsch kranz(special serving trays). Spend the day sipping these fine biers just as they do in the streets of Cologne.
